Bernardo Silva has clear Man City exit desire as ‘complication’ revealed ahead of contract expiry
Bernardo Silva has been widely tipped to leave Manchester City when his contract expires next summer.
The Portuguese has been an integral part of Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering side over the years, and he already has an astonishing six Premier League titles to his name since his move from Monaco back in 2017.
Silva’s impending contract expiry at Manchester City is yet to be addressed by the club, with the deals of the likes of John Stones and Stefan Ortega also set to terminate in the summer.
That has fuelled the speculation that the midfielder is about to call time on his stay at the Etihad Stadium, and his future plan has now been revealed ahead of his next move.

Bernardo Silva wants to remain in Europe amid Saudi interest
Silva has hinted at a potential Manchester City departure for several weeks now, and the likelihood of him penning a new deal appears to be growing slimmer by the day.
The 31-year-old’s intentions for next summer and beyond have now become clear, but there is also a key stumbling block that will need to be overcome at the same time.
Silva is keen to remain in Europe for his next move, despite recent interest from Saudi Arabia, according to Calcio Mercato.
Both AC Milan and Juventus have recently made contact with the veteran in order to assess his long-term plans, but there is a “complication” that could prevent both of them from ultimately making a move.

The City star is understood to currently earn around £8.8million a year in wages, which is believed to likely be unaffordable for Serie A clubs.
Bernardo Silva exit to hand Phil Foden repsonsibility at Man City
Silva is among Manchester City’s longest-serving players in their current squad, with Stones the only man to have spent more time at the club at present.
| Player | Duration | |
| 1 | John Stones | 9yrs 3 mths |
| 2 | Bernardo Silva | 8yrs 4ths |
| 3 | Phil Foden | 8yrs 4 mths |
| 4 | Rodri | 6yrs 4 mths |
| 5 | Nathan Ake | 5yrs 3 mths |
However, if that duo both leave at the end of the season, then the baton will be passed down to Phil Foden as the longest-serving star.
The 25-year-old is now into his eighth full campaign as a senior player at the Etihad, and he will take on vital responsibility if he becomes the longest-serving member of the squad.
The senior professionals play a vital role in any group in ensuring that standards are maintained in training and around the club, while also often playing a key role in helping to bed in new arrivals.
Foden now finds himself in his prime years and still at his boyhood club, which he now knows like the back of his hand, and that added responsibility could potentially help to drive him on to even greater heights.
