Bernardo Silva wants to quit Man City due to English weather – Sources

Bernardo Silva wants to quit Man City this summer due to his issues with English weather, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, transfer correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that the superstar midfielder, 29, is eager for a “better style of living” away from Manchester.

The Portugal international was linked with moves to Barcelona, Paris-Saint Germain and the Saudi Pro League last summer, but he remained at the Premier League and Champions League holders.

Now, it is believed that there will be no shortage of suitors for Silva, who will seek an exit from Pep Guardiola’s side after a seven-year spell.

Bernardo Silva wants to leave Man City after seven seasons

He has been a standout performer for City in the club’s most successful period having bagged 64 goals and 63 assists across 345 appearances in all competitions.

His influence is still apparent in City’s current league-chasing side after scoring six goals and providing four assists in 23 Premier League starts.

He penned a new contract extension in August to keep him at the club until 2026, which reportedly includes a £50million release clause that becomes valid this summer.

Barcelona star Joao Felix reportedly claimed that Silva, his international teammate, is seriously interested in signing for the La Liga giants.

“For me, losing Bernardo Silva would be a huge blow,” O’Rourke told the Inside Track podcast.

“It’s been talked about for years and years that he could leave and the player is supposedly not happy with the weather in England.

“He maybe fancies moving abroad for a better style of living.

“There will be no shortage of takers for Silva.
