Best display in a Tottenham shirt: Pochettino needs to bring back 25-year-old for Chelsea clash

When Victor Wanyama walks onto the field of play for Tottenham, he brings power and authority to his side.
The 25-year-old has gone under the radar during this campaign but he arguably produced the best display from a Spurs player this season when they beat Chelsea 2-0 in January.
Wanyama’s reading of the game, ability to break up play and mark Eden Hazard out of the game during that Premier League clash, was an absolute joy to watch.
After his recent injuries, manager Mauricio Pochettino needs to bring back the midfielder for the FA Cup clash against the Blues at the weekend.
Manchester United’s Ander Herrera proved that if you can get on top of Hazard, close the space around him then you can stop the attacking threat of his side.

Wanyama has already done that this season and if Pochettino selects him to start in the middle of the park at Wembley, he will surely back himself to produce the goods again.
There was huge pressure on the Kenyan’s shoulders when he made a £11million switch from Southampton to Tottenham in the summer.
But his strength in midfield, ability to take on any type of attackers added with ability to sense danger, has been a big reason as to why his side can win the domestic double this term.
Even if Pochettino fails to lift the Premier League or FA Cup, securing Champions League football for a second consecutive campaign, will still be a great achievement by the London club.
