'Best in the world', 'Outstanding' - Arsenal fans overjoyed with this player despite draw v West Ham

Arsenal fans are delighted with midfielder Jack Wilshere for his performance in the goalless draw against West Ham United at the London Stadium on Wednesday evening.

The 25-year-old was making his first Premier League start for Arsenal in 557 days and was arguably the best player on the pitch for the away side.

Gunners were overjoyed with the midfielder for his display and took to social media to express their delight at his return to the starting XI.

Football Insider has rounded up a selection of the best tweets from Arsenal fans.

West Ham boss David Moyes said in his pre-match interview that he would be interested in signing the midfielder if he was made available in January and the player will have done himself no harm after his performance against the Hammers.

Overall, it was a frustrating night for Arsenal who have now dropped points in consecutive Premier League away matches, after the 1-1 draw with Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium on Sunday.

Wilshere did miss a great chance to win it for the Gunners late on, but blazed his chance over the bar, but it did not stop fans from praising him.

The Hammers could have won it late on when striker Javier Hernandez hit the crossbar, but the ball bounced on the wrong side of the line.
