'We have been better' - Joe Lewis makes claim about Rangers and Aberdeen

Aberdeen star Joe Lewis has claimed his side have been “better” than Rangers this season as the sides prepare to meet in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday night.
The Dons have a three-point lead over Graeme Murty’s side going into the game although the Gers won both of the last two meetings between them.
A win for the Gers would see them overtake Derek McInnes’ side on goal difference as the second-half of the season gets underway but Lewis wants his side to use last season’s win at Ibrox as motivation to leave Glasgow with three points.
The Aberdeen keeper was involved as his side won at Ibrox last season for the time in 26 years and claims it gives a “hunger” to repeat the result.
“We were the better team last season and we have been better over the course of the season so far, and we want to keep getting another three points – and keep going in the league.” Lewis said, as quoted by the Evening Express.
“Having been involved in a win at Ibrox it was a brilliant result for the players, the fans and the club because it hadn’t happened in 26 years.
“It was a great achievement for our group and it’s something that I think gives you more hunger to do the same again.”
The Dons returned to domestic action after the winter break on Saturday when they eased past Championship side St. Mirren in the fourth round if the Scottish Cup.
Rangers were scheduled to face Highland League minnows Fraserburgh but the match fell foul of the frozen weather.
Gers manager Murty was in charge when the Light Blues ran out winners twice in the space of a week against Derek McInnes’ side with 3-0 and 2-1 wins over the Dons.
In other Rangers news, fans have reacted after this midfield dynamo underwent a medical to complete his switch.
