Betting update: Liverpool installed favourites to sign proven England duo
By Alex Stevens
Liverpool have been installed as the bookmakers’ favourites to sign Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Joe Hart.
Sky Bet have priced the Merseysiders as the most likely to land Arsenal attacking midfielder Oxlade-Chamberlain and Manchester City goalkeeper Hart.
Liverpool are 5/1 to land Oxlade-Chamberlain and are ahead in the betting of West Ham (6/1), Everton (8/1) and Manchester City (10/1).
The Merseyside giants are also the bookies’ favourites to win the race for Hart, with their price even shorter at 2/1, placing them ahead of the other main clubs in the running, Torino and Everton (both 5/2), and West Ham and Arsenal (both 7/1).
Manager Jurgen Klopp has made it clear that there will be an overhaul of his playing squad in the summer after the team came up short in the title race.

Liverpool are 14 points behind leaders Chelsea with 11 matches of the Premier League campaign remaining and the best they can appear to hope for is a top-four finish.
Oxlade-Chamberlain, 23, and Hart, 29, are both proven performers in the English top flight following their lengthy spells at Arsenal and City respectively as well as seasoned England internationals.
Oxlade-Chamberlain’s future has come under the microscope as he is out of contract in the summer of 2018 and talks have yet to begin on an extension.
Two-times Premier League winner Hart is almost certain to leave City in the summer as he was forced to spend this season on loan at Italian club Torino after being frozen out by Pep Guardiola.
In other Liverpool transfer news, West Ham will offer a new deal to a 24-year-old to stop him signing for the Merseyside club.
