Betting update: Tottenham first teamer tipped to join PL club after reported interest
By Harvey Byrne
Manchester United have been installed as the favourites to sign Tottenham first teamer Eric Dier after the Mail reported the Red Devils were plotting a big summer swoop.
The 23-year-old utility man has plenty of Premier League experience following his return to England in 2014 from Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon.
The Mail claim that United manager Jose Mourinho is a big admirer of Dier and he sees him as the perfect replacement for the experienced Michael Carrick.
This has now led to odds on the Manchester club signing Dier dropping with Bet Victor placing them at 4/1, narrowly ahead of two other Premier League elite sides.
City rivals Manchester City trail United closely at 8/1 with Chelsea also falling behind with odds of 12/1.

Six more European super powers then follow with odds of 16/1, including the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
Dier has entered his third year with Tottenham after signing for just £4million in 2014 and he still has another four years left on his contract.
The 17-time capped England international is also an ever-present in Mauricio Pochettino’s first team with 37 appearances to his name in all competitions this season and Spurs will surely want to keep hold of the defensive minded ace.
In other Tottenham transfer news, Spurs have terminated this forward’s contract.
