Bielsa will be 'all over' Leeds teen 'pushing for first team' after Thorpe Arch reveal - pundit
Alan Hutton has suggested Sam Greenwood is “pushing for the first-team” at Leeds United after dazzling Marcelo Bielsa and his staff.
The former Scotland defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the Argentine boss would be “all over” the 19-year-old to help him develop into a senior star.
Football Insider revealed Bielsa and his backroom staff have been blown away by Greenwood’s ability and potential.
A Leeds source revealed the 2020 signing is regularly described as “phenomenal” by those at the club’s Thorp Arch training ground.
Greenwood joined Leeds from Arsenal last summer and has one first-team appearance under his belt.
He was also given his first runout for England’s under-20s on Monday (6th September).

Hutton suggested the fact Greenwood is starring at youth level for both club and country means Bielsa will consider him for a senior call-up.
“He’s going to be pushing for the first team,” Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge.
“If they’re playing at that level (England under-20s) now, I can guarantee Bielsa will be all over them to make them even better and push them even harder.
“I think as a youngster it would be a great club to be at and coming through.
“We know the history of the players that they have brought through, the legendary teams that they have had.
“It just seems like it’s a continuous circle at the moment.
“They’re obviously looking to churn out young players and get them into the first team. Also, to step into England as well.”
Greenwood’s only senior appearance came in last season’s FA Cup defeat to Crawley.
However, he has been an unused substitute in the Premier League this term.
