'Big problem' is holding back Radrizanni plan after Leeds reveal via Sky - pundit
Leeds United must beef up their squad if they are to pick up results against top Premier League sides.
That’s according to former West Ham hitman Frank McAvennie, speaking exclusively to Football Insider after the Whites lost to Liverpool.
Leeds lost 3-0 to Liverpool on Sunday afternoon as their winless start to the season continued.
Speaking after Sunday’s game, Leeds chairman Andrea Radrizzani told Sky Sports he wants the club to be playing in Europe in “two or three” years.
The Whites only returned to the Premier League last season but the club have invested heavily in the playing squad and their training ground.
McAvennie insists the Yorkshire giants are still some way off challenging the top teams in the Premier League.

“It’s hard going forward against Liverpool,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“It’s not just Leeds, anyone will struggle to score against them this season.
“At Elland Road, it’s an atmosphere, it can be terrifying playing there. I think Liverpool handled it better than Leeds did.
“I’m not saying the fan thing is an issue but Leeds need to pick up, they need to tighten up at the back and avoid injuries.
“I think the squad depth is a bit of an issue because they didn’t really have anyone to bring on.
“That’s a big problem for them in my opinion.
“James came on and then what? I know it was ten men but look at the bench.
“If Leeds wants to get to where they want to get, they need to beef out that squad.”
