Liverpool player perfectly encapsulates what fans feel about Salah with expletive-laden quote
By Richard Parks
Dejan Lovren has perfectly encapsulated what every Liverpool fan feels about Mohamed Salah with his assessment of the forward’s increasingly jawdropping contribution to the team.
Salah is the talk of world football after his sensational performance in Tuesday night’s 5-2 Champions League win against Roma at Anfield.
The Egyptian forward scored twice, assisted two other goals and put his team on the verge of the final of Europe’s premier competition as he took his tally to a sensational 43 goals this season.
“He deserves the credit, but I think he deserves even more to be honest,” Lovren said, as quoted by the Times. “Forty-three goals, guys. F***ing hell. Forty-three goals. F***ing hell.”
Salah is a huge favourite with supporters, who sang his name endlessly before, during and after his latest wonder show on Tuesday night.

Football Insider verdict:
The numbers are ridiculous – 43 goals in all competitions – and the performances are as jaw-droppingly astounding as the ice-cold finishing. Little wonder that Lovren has had to resort to expletives to explain the impact of his teammate. Assessments of the best players in the world have for so long been reduced to who should be number three behind genius duo Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Naturally, those two have been brilliant again this season, but neither can hold a candle to Salah right now. He was sensational against Roma in the biggest match of Liverpool’s season. They were frightened to death of a player they knew inside out. It was a performance that will go down in Liverpool folklore. But there is a sense that the best is yet to come for the Egyptian king.
