Big update on Michail Antonio quitting West Ham – sources
West Ham striker Michail Antonio could pursue a summer exit in the search for more regular first-team football, sources have told Football Insider.
It is believed the Irons will be in the market for another forward in the off-season despite moving for Gianluca Scamacca and Danny Ings in the 2022-23 campaign.
Another arrival would raise serious questions over the future of Antonio, who was the subject of reported interest from the likes of Nottingham Forest, Everton and Wolves in the January window.
Manager David Moyes chose to keep the Jamaica international at the club, and he has repaid the faith by scoring some important goals in the fight against relegation and the quest for Europa Conference League glory.
Nevertheless, Moyes is keen to add more firepower to his squad in the summer window.
Football Insider revealed on Monday (15 May) that West Ham are among the Premier League sides regularly scouting Strasbourg striker Habib Diallo.
Diallo has notched 20 Ligue 1 goals this term and Irons scouts were in attendance as he bagged a brace against Nice on Saturday (13 May).
Antonio is out of contract at the London Stadium in June 2024.
He has reinvented himself since arriving at the club as a winger in 2015 – becoming West Ham’s all-time top Premier League scorer with 61 strikes.
The Jamaica international has managed 14 goals and five assists in 45 appearances across all competitions – 29 of which have come as a starter.
He scored a crucial winner in last week’s Europa Conference League semi-final first leg against AZ Alkmaar.

West Ham can secure Premier League safety if Leicester are beaten by Liverpool on Monday night (15 May).
The Irons face AZ in the second leg of their European semi-final on Thursday (18 May).
In other news, West Ham could now trump Newcastle as £37m payout on the cards.
