‘Big’ – Viktor Gyokeres reacts to Leandro Trossard’s message after Arsenal deal agreed
Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard posted a message to supporters after the club reportedly made a decision regarding his future.
Mikel Arteta’s side continued their perfect start to the Premier League season with Arsenal‘s commanding 5-0 win over Leeds United at the Emirates Stadium on 23 August.
Viktor Gyokeres lit up his home debut with two goals, while Bukayo Saka added his name to the scoresheet and Jurrien Timber scored twice to complete the rout.
But the victory came at a cost. Injuries struck again as Saka was forced off with a hamstring issue, while captain Martin Odegaard also had to be withdrawn after suffering a shoulder problem.
Meanwhile, Trossard replaced Saka down the left flank and impressed during his cameo. The Belgian’s future has been the subject of trasnfer speculation in recent weeks, but reports now suggest that Trossard will sign a new contract with Arsenal on improved terms.
After the final whistle, he took to Instagram to acknowledge the fans and their support following the emphatic win.
Arsenal stars react to Leandro Trossard after contract news
Following reports of a new deal being agreed and the emphatic win over Leeds, the Belgian winger posted a short message to supporters on Instagram.
He wrote: “No place like home. Big win” – a post that was quickly met with support from teammates, with Gyokeres, Martin Zubimendi and Aston Villa’s Youri Tielemans among those showing their approval with likes.
Football Insider previously revealed that Premier League clubs were monitoring Trossard’s situation, with German giants Bayern Munich also credited with interest. However, it now appears the winger is set to accept a pay rise and commit his future to Arsenal.
Despite playing more of a rotational role under Mikel Arteta, Trossard made 56 appearances last season, contributing 20 goals and assists across all competitions.
Some Arsenal fans had previously called for Trossard to be sold, fearing he might block new signings, but those concerns were dismissed after the Gunners secured Eberechi Eze without needing to move the Belgian on.

Arsenal in talks to hijack Tottenham move for Piero Hincapie
While the Gunners have already spent upwards of £200 million this summer, the club could still make another addition to Arteta’s squad.
Reports suggest Arsenal are in discussions with Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie, although any deal would likely depend on the sale of Jakub Kiwior.
Tottenham had made an approach for Hincapie with a loan offer, but it now appears their North London rivals have stepped in again with a proposal more favourable to the player and comes just days after Arsenal successfully hijacked Spurs’ pursuit of Eze.
