Borna Barisic now set to quit Rangers – sources
Borna Barisic is set to leave Rangers at the end of the season, sources have told Football Insider.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, transfer correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that the club are unlikely to offer Barisic, 31, a new contract and he is expected to depart as a free agent.
The Croation’s deal at Ibrox is set to expire at the end of the season and it is believed he is happy to end his Rangers career after six seasons.
Well-placed sources told Football Insider last month (21 March) that Barisic had agreed terms with Turkish side Trabzonspor and is in line to complete the move as soon as the season ends.

It is believed that this deal is still expected to go through and is likely to be completed soon.
The left-back has struggled for consistent game time in what looks to be his final season with the Glasgow giants having made 15 league starts.
Ridvan Yilmaz has often taken the defender’s place in the side since the arrival of Philippe Clement in October.
While his minutes have been significantly reduced since the Belgian joined the Glasgow giants, he has still registered one goal and six assists this term.
His last start in all competitions came in Rangers’ damaging 3-2 defeat against Ross County earlier this month (14 April).

Rangers are three points behind league leaders Celtic and recently booked their spot in the final of the Scottish Cup after their 2-0 win against Hearts on Sunday (21 April).
They return to league action on Sunday afternoon (28 April) with their away clash against St Mirren.
In other news, Fulham, Sheffield United and Southampton plot raids to sign Ibrox star.
