'Boss', 'Absolute quality' - Everton fans rave about attacker's performance v Brighton

By Aramide Oladipo

Everton new boy Nikola Vlasic sent the club’s supporters into a frenzy on social media following his impressive performance against Brighton on Sunday afternoon.

The 20-year-old made his second consecutive start in the Premier League at the Amex Stadium as Ronald Koeman’s side needed a last-gasp penalty from Wayne Rooney to come away with a 1-1 draw.

The result means that the Toffees have now drawn four of their opening eight league matches and they are currently three points off the relegation zone.

Although the Toffees failed to create many clear cut opportunities, Vlasic was one of the standout performers for the team in the attacking third.

Everton fans were quick to take to social media and express their delight at the attacker’s display with many feeling that the youngster was the best player on the park.

The Croatia international secured a permanent deal to Goodison Park in the summer transfer window for a reported fee of £10million from Hajduk Split.

The forward has only made five appearances for the Merseyside club this season and he notched up his first and only goal for his new side in the 2-2 Europa League tie against Apollon Limassol last month.

In other Everton news, the club are reportedly lining up a move for this Newcastle United senior man.
