Bournemouth star Alex Scott reacts to emotional Evanilson message
Bournemouth duo Alex Scott and Evanilson are vying to have another successful Premier League season with the Cherries next term.
Andoni Iraola’s men claimed ninth spot in the top flight last campaign, which marked their best league finish since 2017.
After joining the Dorset outfit from Porto last summer, striker Evanilson proved his class by scoring 10 goals in 31 Premier League outings.
Meanwhile, Scott made 20 top-flight appearances for Bournemouth before excelling in the Under-21 European Championship, helping England to glory.

Amid their preparations for next season, Bournemouth have signed goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic from Chelsea.
Iraola will hope that Petrovic’s presence between the sticks can make up for the fact that last season’s star defenders Milos Kerkez and Dean Huijsen left in favour of Liverpool and Real Madrid, respectively.
Meanwhile, Evanilson took to Instagram in a joint post with his wife on Wednesday, 16 July, as the couple shared the news that they had a newborn son: “Our ‘simple’ was already heaven, but having you in our arms is heaven!
“Welcome to the world, my son!”
The post attracted a like from Scott.

Football Insider verdict
Scott showed his creative class when he helped the England Under-21s win the Euros this summer, notching one goal and one assist in five appearances.
Alex Scott stats | Under-21 Euros |
Appearances | 5 |
Goals | 1 |
Assists | 1 |
The midfielder scored in a 2-1 defeat to Germany in the group stage on 18 June, showcasing his ability to produce the goods even when Lee Carsley’s side are not at their best.
However, the former Bristol City man failed to make a goal contribution in 20 Premier League appearances for Bournemouth last season.
In his first campaign with the Cherries, which came in 2023/24, Scott scored one goal and produced one assist in 23 top-flight outings.
The 21-year-old would have hoped to better those figures last season, but was not able to do so, even though Bournemouth landed a top-half spot in the Premier League.
But having witnessed Scott’s successful exploits in the Under-21 Euros, Iraola will hope to see the best of the former Bristol City starlet next term.
