Bournemouth could be set for a major defensive shakeup during the upcoming summer transfer window when it comes to their first-choice goalkeeper.

Kepa Arrizabalaga has been the number-one shot-stopper for the Cherries this season on loan from Chelsea, but Andoni Iraola could look elsewhere in the summer transfer window.

Kepa has performed well for Bournemouth during his spell away from the Blues, with question marks about whether Enzo Maresca will keep him given the poor season Robert Sanchez is having.

Industry insider Mick Brown revealed to Football Insider that Kepa wants to stay at Bournemouth as he is happy playing for the Cherries.

According to a report from talkSPORT, Bournemouth are now leading the race to sign Liverpool’s Caoimhin Kelleher as they look to shake things up.

Kelleher is widely expected to leave Anfield this summer after he has been unable to dislodge Alisson Becker as the first-choice option under Arne Slot.

Caoimhin Kelleher wants more regular game time

Football Insider revealed that Kelleher wants to quit the club in a bid to get more playing time as he believes he’s ready to be the first-choice option somewhere.

Liverpool had previously valued the goalkeeper between £25-30million as Celtic were monitoring him as an option.

Bournemouth will face some competition in trying to sign Kelleher as Chelsea and Tottenham are also interested in the goalkeeper.

Bournemouth fans have bought into the idea of Kelleher becoming their permanent first-choice goalkeeper and claimed it would be a “perfect move” for him.

Others think he is “much better than Kepa,” which makes it “good business sense” from the club.
