Bournemouth to learn Antoine Semenyo’s fate before 1 January amid new transfer twist
Bournemouth could lose star winger Antoine Semenyo even sooner than expected as multiple Premier League giants race for his signature.
Football Insider understands that Liverpool are the current frontrunners for Semenyo, though the same has also been said about Man United and Man City ahead of the January transfer window.
He already has seven goals and three assists in 15 Premier League appearances this season, most recently scoring during Bournemouth’s thrilling 4-4 draw against Man United on Monday, 15 December.
Unsurprisingly, clubs from up and down the Premier League table are keeping tabs on the 25-year-old, with fans expecting a big-money move for the Ghanaian once the transfer window swings open.
Antoine Semenyo exit takes new twist
Stefan Borson told Football Insider that Semenyo’s move to Man City is now “realistic”, but it might not be as simple as that for Pep Guardiola, with his future now uncertain at the Etihad Stadium.
According to The Telegraph (18 December), the news that Man City are looking at Enzo Maresca as a potential replacement for the Catalan could impact their move for the Cherries’ star, or at least the Red Devils are hoping so.
As previously stated, Liverpool are one of the teams interested, alongside Thomas Frank‘s Tottenham, and the entire transfer race looks set to crank up the heat ahead of next month.

Sources understand that any deal for Semenyo, if completed in January, is likely to be signed earlier rather than later in the transfer window, which only sounds like bad news for Andoni Iraola.
Andoni Iraola to lose yet another star next month
With so many reports emerging about the winger, it feels like only a matter of time before another club secures his signature, and the alarm bells will be ringing at the Vitality Stadium.
The most likely outcome, if rumours are to be believed, is that Ruben Amorim will be the happiest manager come the end of the January transfer window.
Either way, if the Cherries are to sell their biggest name next month, it seems like the most sensible idea would be to cash in early and find a suitable replacement, if that is possible for Semenyo.
Premier League clubs learn far too often that these scenarios can sidetrack from the actual transfers, so Iraola can continue to focus on his current team if the winger leaves quite early in the window.
