Bowen is 'exceptional' as Liverpool 'certain interest' revealed by Pearce - pundit

Jarrod Bowen was out to impress Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp on Sunday.

That is the view of former Arsenal and Everton striker Kevin Campbell, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the 24-year-old’s “exceptional” display at the London Stadium.

Bowen starred on Sunday as West Ham leapfrogged their opponents in the Premier League table following a 3-2 win.

Klopp confirmed to club media that he “likes Bowen a lot” in his pre-match press conference.

According to The Athletic‘s James Pearce (November 7th), “there’s certainly interest” from the Reds in the West Ham forward.

When asked by Football Insider for his thoughts on Bowen’s performance last weekend, Campbell said: “Bowen was exceptional and is exceptional.

“It was a high-level game and those are the games where you see if players can cut it at the very top level. I thought he had one of his better games.

“Obviously, when Liverpool come to town there is a lot of pressure. Bowen performed really well though. He had a hand in some really key moments for West Ham. His stock has gone up after that game.

“It have been in the back of his mind that he is playing in front of Klopp, especially after his comments. That is always there.”

Speaking on Bowen, Klopp said: “I like Bowen a lot, he made his way up from, was it Hull, if I’m right?

“And took not too long to get there, to show exactly what kind of player he can be in the Premier League as well, made big steps.”
