Brendan Rodgers was full of praise for young Celtic midfielder Ryan Christie on Thursday following his stunning goal for Aberdeen a day earlier.
The 21-year-old currently on loan at the Dons played in 80 minutes of their emphatic 7-2 victory over Motherwell on Wednesday night.
He was heavily involved in the match and the young starlet popped up just before half time with a stunning chipped effort which found the top corner.
Those associated with the Hoops were mightily impressed with the goal and of those includes Brendan Rodgers, who shared that he felt the loan move was helping the talented Christie develop as a player.
💬 BR on @ryanchristie2: “Great finish from him last night. He’s a very good young player and the move is working out really well so far.”

Christie had featured just seven times for Celtic in all competitions this season as he struggled to get in a team 24 points clear at the top of the Premiership table.
However, Aberdeen are the next best club as they sit in second place and three points above the Hoops’ fierce rivals Rangers.
Celtic fans will be delight if Christie plays a part in stopping the Gers from finishing in second, while the player himself will be keen to impress on his temporary move away.
In other Celtic news, the Hoops are closing in on this striker deal following a deadline-day collapse.
