Brendan Rodgers odds to be next Tottenham slashed as unbeaten run continues in Saudi Arabia

Tottenham have remained on the hunt for their next manager after Thomas Frank was sacked, with Brendan Rodgers now emerging as a potential candidate.

The former Celtic boss left the Hoops earlier this campaign after a poor start to the season and is now at Saudi Pro League side Al Qadsiah.

However, he is now being linked to a surprise return to the Premier League, with one bookmaker slashing the odds on him to take over Tottenham.

The 53-year-old is now just 16/1 to come in, with Oddschecker confirming that his odds have been reduced.

Brendan Rodgers’ recent managerial career explained

Since leaving Leicester City in 2023, the Northern Ireland coach was quick to return to Celtic.

Here, the manager won an additional five trophies at the Hoops, including two Scottish Premiership titles.

Last season, he also guided Celtic to the Champions League knockout phase, narrowly losing to Bayern Munich in the playoffs.

However, his time at Celtic ended on a sour note, as he resigned following a 3-1 defeat to Hearts, with his relationship breakdown with the board becoming clear after it was announced.

Since joining Al Qadsiah in December, Rodgers is unbeaten, winning nine of his first 12 matches, drawing the other three.

Who else is in the running to become Tottenham’s next manager?

Currently, Marco Rose is the favourite to become the next Tottenham manager at 5/4.

The former Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig manager has been out of work since March after heavily underperforming at the latter club last season.

Robert De Zerbi follows at 3/1, with the former Brighton manager now a free agent after his departure from Marseille was confirmed this week.

Both John Heitinga and Robbie Keane remain in the running at 6/1, with the latter manager giving a brief answer to the current ongoing speculation this week.

Another outsider is considered to be Mauricio Pochettino at 8/1.

The current US National Team manager is preparing for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico in the summer.

Despite Pochettino previously being vocal about wanting to return to Tottenham one day, it remains to be seen if he would be willing to leave international football to join Spurs before the World Cup.
