Brennan Johnson, Moises Caicedo react as Bissouma ‘proud’ amid Tottenham exit talk
Brennan Johnson and Moises Caicedo were among those to show their support to Yves Bissouma following a new update from the midfielder amid uncertainty around his Tottenham future.
Like many of his Spurs teammates, the 28-year-old will have mixed feelings after a campaign that saw the club finishing a dismal 17th in the Premier League table.
There was though a major consolation to that, with Bissouma playing the full 90 minutes as Tottenham beat Man United in the Europa League final to end their 17-year wait for a trophy.
Even so, there has already been plenty of change at Spurs since the end of the campaign, with Ange Postecoglou being sacked as manager.
Tottenham have appointed Thomas Frank as his replacement, and that alteration will no doubt lead to some changes in the squad as well.

Yves Bissouma earns individual award
As things stand, there is just a year remaining on Bissouma‘s contract with Spurs, meaning this summer could be their last chance to cash in on him.
That has led to some suggestions that Tottenham could sell Bissouma in the transfer window, after a three-year spell with the club.
In the meantime, the midfielder has been recognised in his home nation of Mali, after being named as his country’s Player of the Year.
Taking to Instagram to reflect on that, Bissouma wrote: “Proud and honored to have been voted Malian player of the year.
“Thanks to Femafoot and Akagency for this wonderful organization and especially thanks to the people for choosing me.”
In response, Johnson showed his support by commenting on the post with several loveheart emojis, while it was also liked by other Tottenham players such as Djed Spence, Micky van de Ven and Mathys Tel.
Chelsea midfielder Caicedo, who previously played with Bissouma at Brighton, was another to like the post.
Tottenham have numerous decisions to make
Football Insider Verdict
It is inevitable that there will be changes to the Spurs squad this summer, as Frank looks to part his own mark on his new team.
Given his contract situation, Bissouma is a candidate to be moved on, since a sale now ensures they do not miss out on a fee for him.
That of course, can then help Tottenham to invest in new signings, which are clearly going to be needed after such a poor Premier League campaign.
Even so, Bissouma is still at an age and possesses the pedigree to ensure that if he does move on, there will likely be plenty of potential suitors keen to sign the midfielder.
