Brennan Johnson reacts to Jacob Ramsey’s message after Tottenham reveal

Brennan Johnson may have added fuel to the transfer speculation after reacting to Jacob Ramsey’s latest update amid links to Tottenham.

Spurs have already kicked off a busy summer of change, with Thomas Frank appointed as the new head coach last month.

The North London side wasted little time in the transfer market, as Tottenham secured the permanent signing of Mathys Tel following his short loan spell at the club.

It appears the hierarchy are prepared to back Frank, with Football Insider reporting that Tottenham are plotting a move to bring Aston Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

It’s understood the club have already opened discussions with Ramsey’s representatives over a possible deal.

Now, speculation has intensified after Ramsey’s latest post caught the attention of Johnson, sparking even more rumours around a potential move.

Brennan Johnson fuels Tottenham speculation after Jacob Ramsey update

Ramsey has sparked further transfer talk after sharing an update from his summer break, away from Aston Villa.

The midfielder posted a series of photos showing his off-season activities, captioned simply: “A good summer.”

The post drew plenty of reactions from teammates, including Ollie Watkins — himself linked with a Villa exit — who left a heart emoji, while Morgan Rogers commented: “Twin.”

Tottenham fans may have spotted that winger Johnson had also liked the post, adding further fuel to rumours linking Ramsey with a move to North London.

Mick Brown, who has worked with both Villa and Tottenham, told Football Insider that Ramsey is keen on a move to Spurs this summer, with the player eager to secure more regular game time, and believes that’s possible under new head coach Frank.

Ramsey made 25 starts in 45 appearances across all competitions last season, but with Aston Villa’s midfield options growing, he is believed to be considering his future to ensure he plays a more prominent role elsewhere.

Football Insider reported exclusively in May that Ramsey is “unhappy” with his current situation at Villa Park and would be open to leaving if guaranteed more minutes elsewhere.

Tottenham could make Heung-min Son decision amid transfer links

While Spurs continue to eye reinforcements, uncertainty remains over the future of Heung-min Son.

Former financial advisor Stefan Borson told Football Insider that Tottenham would accept an offer of around £25million for Son, amid growing interest from Saudi Arabia.

The South Korean star turns 33 next month, and while still a key player, there are concerns that his performances may begin to decline. The club are also thought to be preparing for life beyond Son, with his contract entering its final year.

It remains to be seen whether the forward would be tempted by a move to the Middle East should a formal bid arrive in the coming weeks.
