Brentford receive double injury boost before Man City clash with ‘special’ star set to return
Brentford’s squad will be bolstered for the visit of Manchester City next in the Premier League following positive injury updates.
Igor Thiago’s double helped Brentford beat Man United 3-1 last time out to lift the Bees up to 13th and three points above the relegation zone.
There were concerns about Thiago’s first goal against Man United, whilst Caoimhin Kellher saved Bruno Fernandes’ effort from the penalty spot.
The Bees have had a stuttering start to the season in Keith Andrews’ first managerial job, with the club still adjusting to the losses of Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa over the summer.

Keith Andrews receives attacking boost for Man City test
Speaking to the press before Brentford face Man City, Andrews confirmed the returns of Fabio Carvalho and Reiss Nelson to the squad, as per BBC Sport [2 October].
Carvalho missed the Man United win with a knee injury, whilst Nelson has missed the past two fixtures.
Nelson has only appeared once for Brentford so far, in their Carabao Cup win over Aston Villa, since joining on loan from Arsenal.
The news gives Andrews further options in attack, and increased supply to Thiago who has scored five goals this season.

Reiss Nelson hailed as ‘special’ as he could make Brentford debut
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has previously called Nelson a “special” player, as per the Daily Mirror, and after the 25-year-old suffered an injury hit loan spell at Fulham last season he will be keen to show his talent at Brentford.
During pre-season with Arsenal, Nelson showed his qualities with a series of positive showings, but he has yet to fully live up to his potential in the Premier League.
Nelson though faces competition at Brentford from their big summer arrival Dango Ouattara and Kevin Schade.
Schade was Brentford’s third top goal scorer last season behind Mbeumo and Wissa, and therefore unlikely to be dropped.
This could be a big season for Nelson to show that he can produce in the Premier League.
