‘Brentford upset by Bryan Mbeumo, Man United transfer a long way off’
Brentford are not happy with Bryan Mbeumo over the way his potential transfer to Man United has played out.
The attacker enjoyed an excellent campaign with Thomas Frank‘s side this season, earning him plenty of transfer interest from elsewhere.
Last month, Football Insider reported that Man United, Newcastle and Arsenal are all fighting to sign the Brentford attacker in the summer transfer window.
Since then, it has emerged that Mbeumo himself favours a move to Man United this summer, although there is still some way to go before that can be completed.

Bryan Mbeumo, Man United transfer pursuit causes frustration
As well as the fact that the Cameroon international is keen on a move to Old Trafford, other details of this potential deal have been heavily reported.
It has also emerged that Mbeumo wants to increase his salary five-fold at Man United, going from £50,000 per week at Brentford, to £250,000 per week with the Red Devils.
However, the fact that information has been revealed has seemingly not gone down at all well with the 25-year-old’s current club.
According to a new update from The Mail, Brentford are “less than impressed” with the public nature in which the saga surrounding Mbeumo has played out.
As a result, it is stated that there is a long way to go before an agreement over the attacker is reached between the two clubs.
While there is just a year remaining on Mbeumo’s current contract, Brentford do have the option to extend the deal by a further 12 months, giving them some scope to negotiate this summer.

Brentford anger is understandable
Football Insider Verdict
It’s hard to blame the Bees for their frustration over what has developed between Man United and Mbeumo.
The attacker is an absolutely crucial member of their side, who they are now under a lot of pressure to sell given how clear it appears to be that he wants this move.
With the situation becoming so public, it is going to be hard for them to generate a bidding war now, given other clubs may see little reason to pursue a deal.
As a result, this could represent a big missed opportunity for Brentford to maximise their potential earnings from such a valuable player.
It is therefore arguably no huge surprise that they may now be making things difficult for Man United in their attempts to sign Mbeumo.
That will at least show they are not going to be pushed around in the transfer market, which sets a strong and useful stance for the rest of the summer and beyond.
