Brighton make £10m Billy Gilmour transfer decision – sources
Brighton are willing to accept a £10million-plus bid for Billy Gilmour this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
The Seagulls rejected an £8million offer from Napoli, but the Serie A giants are set to return with an improved bid.
The Scotland international is under contract with the Seagulls until 2026, putting the club in a commanding negotiating position.
Gilmour is currently on a pre-season tour in Japan with the Premier League outfit but could depart if talks progress with Napoli.
The midfielder has been a regular in the Brighton squad since he joined in 2022, playing 58 times for the Seagulls.
Brighton would make a profit on Billy Gilmour
Gilmour joined Brighton for a fee of £7.5million from Chelsea, meaning a sale of over £10million would present profit for the club to reinvest.
The 23-year-old provides experience to any potential suitors, having played 79 Premier League games in his career so far.
Gilmour started 24 top-flight games last season, playing 41 times in all competitions as an important member of the squad.

The Seagulls are looking to bolster their squad as well this summer, with Leeds United’s Georginio Rutter a current target.
Brighton’s £30million bid for the forward was rejected earlier this window, but they are expected to return with another offer.
