Brighton star Andrew Moran agrees Stoke City move – sources

Brighton midfielder Andrew Moran has agreed a new deal at the club and will join Stoke City on loan, sources have told Football Insider.

Moran, 20, is highly regarded at Brighton and they have tied him to a new deal before sanctioning the move to Stoke.

A number of Championship clubs, including Bristol City were keen on taking Moran on loan, but Stoke have moved to agree a deal with the attacking midfielder.

The young midfielder has plenty of Championship experience having spent the entirety of last season on loan at Blackburn Rovers, making 41 appearances and scoring four goals at the club.

The Irish midfielder joined the South Coast club from Bray Wanderers back in 2021 and has gone on to make three appearances for the first-team.

Moran was prolific in Brighton’s youth teams, scoring an impressive 31 goals in 79 appearances across multiple age groups from midfield.

Stoke are hoping to bolster their squad ahead of a long Championship season and Moran may not be the only new name coming to the Bet365 Stadium.

Football Insider revealed (August 16) that they’re in a three-way tussle with Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday to sign Norwegian wonderkid Daniel Braut.

In other news, Stoke City, Swansea and Oxford race to sign Max Johnston.
