Michael Brown has hailed “fantastic” Stuart Dallas after his latest impressive Leeds United display.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, the ex-United midfielder explained why he is a big admirer of the Northern Ireland.

Dallas has been an ever-present for Leeds in their 35-match Championship campaign, and has reignited his career as an attacking full-back.

The 28-year-old, who was handed a new four-year contract at the start of the campaign, started again at left-back in last night’s 1-0 Championship win against Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium.

“Left-back and he was running the game,” Brown told Football Insider. “He had a fantastic game, I think he’s got great energy, he fits in.

“He’s a real all-round team player. I wouldn’t say he perfects in any position but he’s a fantastic squad player.

“Supporters will love him because of the application that he puts in so I think he’s great for the squad.

Dallas has started all 35 of United’s league matches this season after being on the fringes of the team in previous campaigns, including Marcelo Bielsa’s first at the helm.

The converted winger has had lengthy spells in both full-back positions this season, as well as in midfield, demonstrating the total faith Bielsa has in his versatility and all-round tactical nous.

Barry Douglas and Ezgjan Alioski, who were previously first choices at left-back, have both been sidelined due to Dallas’ form and consistency.

In other Leeds United news, it has been REVEALED that the club agreed sensational £19million deal with Premier League club just a few weeks ago.
