David Moyes has been backed to make the right decision over the future of West Ham winger Grady Diangana by Alex Bruce.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, Bruce delivered his verdict as the youngster seeks clarity about his Hammers role.
The 22-year-old wants to know the nature of his involvement with the Hammers after impressing on loan at West Brom last season, according to the Daily Mail.
The winger penned a bumper six-and-a-half-year contract with West Ham last January.
Asked by Football Insider whether Moyes will utilise the West Ham academy product next season, Bruce said: “Moyes is an experienced campaigner, I’m sure he’ll know exactly what he wants from his squad and where he needs to improve.
“I’m sure he will have watched his performances last season and he’ll be able to know better than anybody if he can come into the West Ham squad and add something to the team.
“If he can do that it wouldn’t surprise me to see him turn out in West Ham colours next season.
“If not and he’s not quite up to it, he’ll be a good signing for somebody like West Brom and we saw him did very well there last season.”
Diangana scored eight goals in 30 Championship games last season for the Baggies as they secured promotion to the Premier League.
The Congo-born winger also forced his way into the England u21 side in September of last year.
He has played 17 Premier League games for the Hammers but is yet to register a goal.
In other West Ham news, Frank McAvennie claims the club will sell £80m rated player in a massive part-exchange deal.
