Bruno Fernandes and Bryan Mbuemo react to Matheus Cunha’s message as he arrives at Carrington
Man United players were quick to react as Matheus Cunha shared an encouraging update on social media.
Ruben Amorim has come under fan pressure already this season following Man United’s poor start to the campaign.
Man United are not expected to sack Amorim for now, with the board still backing the manager despite the side winning just one league game and being knocked out of the Carabao Cup.
Attention shifts to this weekend, as the side are gearing up to face rivals Man City at the Etihad Stadium on 14 September.
The side have had multiple injury issues to deal with, with Cunha continuing to recover from a hamstring injury sustained against Burnley.
Now, the Brazilian shared an update on social media that has sparked optimism he could be back in contention sooner than expected.

While the forward was withdrawn from the Brazil squad after suffering an injury before the break, the forward reposted a photo of himself arriving at Carrington.
He shared the post on his Instagram story with a heart emoji, while Bryan Mbeumo, Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot responded to the original message with a like.

This is not the first time the 26-year-old has shared progress with fans since his setback, as Cunha shared footage of himself individually training at the gym earlier in the week.
He has yet to find the net in the opening three fixtures, but Cunha impressed on his debut against Arsenal after his move in the summer. He joined the side for £62.5 million from Wolves after helping the side survive relegation.
The striker had enjoyed a standout final season at Molineux, as he scored 17 goals in all competitions whilst providing six assists.

Jadon Sancho faces permanent Man United exit
While Cunha’s arrival has bolstered United’s attacking options, one player that left the side was Jadon Sancho, who joined Aston Villa on loan.
With just a year left on his deal, Football Insider revealed clubs from across Europe are interested in Sancho for next summer, with the prospect of a free transfer.
United do hold the option to extend by a further season, but with no progress on that front, a permanent exit as a free agent looks a real possibility.
