Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Jota react to Chelsea star Pedro Neto’s message
Chelsea winger Pedro Neto’s latest message on social media has caught the attention of Man United and Liverpool stars.
The Portuguese attacker already has two goals to his name at the Club World Cup in America, albeit the second did come in a shock 3-1 defeat to Flamengo on Friday, 20 June.
Enzo Maresca‘s side were handed a huge disadvantage by Nicolas Jackson getting himself sent off just four minutes after replacing Liam Delap, and Keith Hackett believes he could be banned for five matches.
The Blues are currently sitting second in Group D with three points from their first two matches, and Neto will be hoping to continue his scoring streak as the team prepares to face Tunisian side Esperance.
Although he is away with the Premier League side at the Club World Cup, the player has still taken time to give thanks to a very special person in his life with a new message on social media.
Pedro Neto sends new emotional message
Taking to Instagram (21 June), Neto wrote a loving message to his partner, saying: “Another year by your side. Grateful for everything you do for us, and to have you in my life.
“Many more to come. I love you so much, princess,” with the post gaining likes from Man United’s Bruno Fernandes, Liverpool’s Diogo Jota, and Fulham’s Raul Jimenez.
Maresca learns valuable lessons in Chelsea defeat to Flamengo
Football Insider verdict
If Maresca wasn’t already open to the idea of selling Jackson, he likely will be now after letting the team down with his second yellow card in his last four club appearances.
While the striker brings goals to the team, notching 13 goals and six assists in his second season, he is too much of a liability, often leaving supporters frustrated and angry with his performances.
New signing Delap already has an assist to his name, grabbing it on his debut against LAFC, but both players have a rough part of their game, which is unlikely to disappear overnight.

Maresca has already been warned over Delap’s disciplinary record, picking up 12 yellow cards for Ipswich Town last season, and now Brighton’s Joao Pedro has emerged as a potential target this summer.
The Blues will be hoping to make it deep into the Club World Cup this summer, but if the players cannot be counted on not to be liabilities, it will be a tough couple of weeks for the squad.
Fans will expect Delap to take a much more important role in the squad now, and equally, will want to see Jackson dropped to the bench to make way for the talented 22-year-old.
