Bruno Fernandes and Mason Mount respond to Manuel Ugarte’s message
Man United players were active on social media in their reaction to Manuel Ugarte’s update during the off-season.
The Uruguayan midfielder endured a challenging first season at Old Trafford following his £50million move from PSG last summer.
Ugarte featured 45 times across all competitions but struggled to secure a regular starting spot in the Premier League, with Casemiro impressing under Ruben Amorim in the latter stages of the campaign.
While he recently provided an update during international duty with Uruguay, Ugarte has now shared another glimpse into his off-field activities.

Manuel Ugarte shares training update with Man United supporters
Ugarte gave fans a glimpse into his off-season as he shared a series of holiday photos, including snaps of himself still putting in work on the training pitch.
The midfielder captioned the post: “I don’t get hot about mine” (translated from Spanish).
The post quickly attracted support from teammates, with Bruno Fernandes, Joshua Zirkzee and Mason Mount — who continues to be linked with a Man United exit — among those to engage with the update.
Other Premier League stars, including Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo, Tottenham’s Pedro Porro and former Aston Villa man Marco Asensio, also liked the post.
Despite Casemiro cementing his place in Amorim’s plans towards the end of last season, Ugarte continues to receive strong backing from Man United supporters.
Many remain hopeful the Uruguayan will grow into his role under Amorim, having previously worked together at Sporting Lisbon.
Mason Mount faces uncertain future at Man United

While Mount was among those to show support for Ugarte on social media, his own future at Old Trafford remains unclear.
Former United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider on 17 June that Man United are prepared to listen to offers for Mount this summer.
The arrivals of Matheus Cunha and the potential signing of Bryan Mbeumo are expected to push the Englishman further down the pecking order, and the Red Devils are believed to be open to a sale.
Brown also revealed that Aston Villa are considering a move for Mount, with Unai Emery keen to strengthen his attacking options and understood to be an admirer of the 26-year-old.
Time will tell whether Villa, or another suitor, tables an acceptable offer, but with United’s financial concerns ongoing, Mount could be one of the high-profile names sacrificed to help balance the books.
