Bruno Fernandes bids farewell after confirmed Man United exit news
Man United captain Bruno Fernandes took to social media to say his goodbyes to Tyrell Malacia after the defender joined PSV on loan.
The 25-year-old returned to the side United bought him from for a reported fee of £13million back in July 2022 for the rest of the season.
Malacia ended 17 months of injury hell back in November and went on to make eight appearances for Ruben Amorim’s side before leaving on transfer deadline day.
The news comes after the 20-time Champions signed young left-back Patrick Dorgu, with Football Insider revealing United’s interest in him ahead of the window.
Many fans remain worried about the club’s failure to add more players, however, and some believe Amorim may start to question his position at the club due to the lack of backing.
Bruno Fernandes says goodbye to Tyrell Malacia as Man United continue to struggle
Fernandes, 30, has unsurprisingly been key for United so far this season, starting 34 of his 35 games across all competitions, scoring nine goals, and providing three assists in his 2788 minutes of action.
United continue to languish in the bottom half of the Premier League despite Fernandes’ best efforts, sitting in 13th with eight wins, five draws, 11 defeats, and 29 points from their 24 games.
The Portugal international took to Instagram to leave a comment on Malacia’s transfer announcement, simply saying: “My guy.”

Amorim will doubtless be hoping his side will be able to put their recent 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace behind them as they prepare for a visit from Ruud van Nistelrooy’s Leicester City.
