Bruno Fernandes has now dropped ‘thrown me under the bus’ Man United bombshell
Bruno Fernandes has done his best to match Mohamed Salah’s situation at Liverpool following his latest comments.
That is according to ex-Everton, Aston Villa, and Aberdeen chief executive Keith Wyness, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, after Fernandes revealed that Man United wanted to sell him in the summer transfer window to Saudi club Al-Hilal.
Fernandes could now leave Man United next summer with a number of clubs interested in signing the Portugal international.
Any potential departure in January is in doubt after the 31-year-old suffered an injury during Man United’s 2-1 defeat at Aston Villa.
Bruno Fernandes causing ‘few issues’ at Man United
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes players causing problems at clubs is becoming more common.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast, Wyness thinks Fernandes’ injury won’t change his transfer situation.
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “Well, yes, he did his, like, Mo Salah, ‘throw me under the bus, they wanted me to go to Saudi Arabia’.
“It’s becoming quite common now for players to sort of cause a few issues. And of course, Bruno, we saw with the injury at the weekend as well.
“And although he’s had an incredible run of games, I think he’s only missed about two games in the last six years or whatever it’s been. Incredible fitness level. So I don’t think the injury is going to affect any potential transfer situation.”

Man United could be out of Antoine Semenyo race
Man United’s financial position could put them out of the running for Antoine Semenyo in the January transfer window.
The Red Devils may have to let players leave the club to free up space in their budget before they can buy.
Semenyo would cost Man United £65million, with Liverpool and Man City also firmly pursuing the 25-year-old.
