Bruno Fernandes reacts to Henderson’s disappointment after Man United return news
Dean Henderson has sent a new message after impressive performances for Crystal Palace saw him become a talking point for Man United supporters.
The 28-year-old started all 38 of the Eagles’ Premier League games in 2024/25, keeping 11 clean sheets, and even helped lift the FA Cup trophy ahead of Man City, albeit under controversial circumstances.
Due to his high-level displays at Selhurst Park, Man United have been linked with a summer move for Henderson, but Mick Brown told Football Insider that the Red Devils will be looking at alternatives.
While the Manchester club signed Andre Onana from Inter Milan for £42million [Sky Sports], the shot-stopper has become a liability, with many supporters wanting a change in between the sticks soon.
Henderson looks unlikely to be that player, but after being given a chance to shine by Thomas Tuchel on Tuesday, 10 June, the Red Devils may still be keeping an eye on his progression.
Dean Henderson given opportunity to shine for England
Taking to Instagram (11 June), Henderson wrote: “Always an honour to represent my country. Disappointing result, but we will bounce back next camp.
“Now time to rest after a long and successful season,” gathering likes from Old Trafford captain Bruno Fernandes.
Other Premier League stars to like the post include Tottenham striker Dominic Solanke, Arsenal’s star midfield Declan Rice, Aston Villa’s exit-linked forward Ollie Watkins, and Palace trio Jean-Philippe Mateta, Daniel Munoz, and Adam Wharton.
Oliver Glasner to deal with multiple big-name Crystal Palace exits
Football Insider verdict
While Henderson’s departure seems unlikely, especially to Old Trafford after only leaving in August 2023, there are multiple other names who could leave before the summer transfer window closes again.
Mick Brown told Football Insider that Bayern Munich have turned their attention to Eberechi Eze, with Tottenham also interested in the 26-year-old’s playmaking abilities.
Munoz, Mateta, and Wharton have all been linked with exits, and Football Insider understands that Marc Guehi has rejected Tottenham in favour of a move to Liverpool.

Oliver Glasner runs the risk of losing multiple of his biggest stars this summer, which could be extremely detrimental despite a rather exciting campaign at Selhurst Park.
The Eagles would have expected to build on last season, especially with Steve Parish happy to back the manager in the transfer window, but players could be distracted by offers from elsewhere.
It would be a huge shame to see Palace take a backwards step after lifting their first piece of major silverware at Wembley Stadium, but that’s just the nature of the Premier League.
