‘Bruno Fernandes ready to quit Man United with £110m offer coming’
Man United captain Bruno Fernandes is the subject of intense transfer interest from Saudi Arabia ahead of the summer transfer window.
Fernandes has now emerged as the number-one target for Al-Hilal after they missed out on a deal for Liverpool star Mohamed Salah.
The 30-year-old is under contract at Man United until June 2027 and manager Ruben Amorim has insisted he will not be sold.
However, Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – has claimed a Saudi move could see Fernandes earn seven times his current £15.6million annual salary, around £110million per year.
Europa League defeat will see Fernandes leave Man United ‘pretty quickly’, says Wyness
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness insisted defeat in next week’s Europa League final against Tottenham would see Fernandes leave United “pretty quickly”.
A loss would leave Amorim’s side without European football of any kind in the 2025-26 campaign, while victory will put them straight into the league phase of the Champions League.
Wyness claimed Saudi Pro League chiefs are determined to sign big players in the prime of their career, with Fernandes fitting the bill.

He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “I don’t think Man United could ever hope to match an offer from Saudi.
“But like Mohamed Salah, Bruno may feel that he can get this offer just as easily in a year or two years – and he wants to stay in top-level football right now.
“However, if United are beaten by Spurs – he’ll have no Champions League football, and he may want to go. I could see that happening.
“There’s no doubt he’d be offered five, six or seven times the £300,000-a-week he is currently getting with United.
“The Saudis are determined to bring players in during their prime, rather than in retirement.
“Fernandes would really raise the quality of the league.
“I think a lot hinges on this final coming up with Spurs and United. Let’s wait and see.
“If they win, I think he’ll stay another season. If they lose, he’ll be off pretty quickly.”

Man United told new Semenyo price tag
Meanwhile, Football Insider has revealed (13 May) that Bournemouth are ready to hold out for bids of £50-60million for Man United target Antoine Semenyo.
Man United have emerged from the pack in the race to sign Semenyo – amid other interest from Newcastle and Arsenal.
The Ghana international has been a star man for Andoni Iraola‘s side this term as they look to qualify for continental football for the first-ever time.
