Bruno Fernandes sends farewell message after Man United exit confirmed
Bruno Fernandes delivered a goodbye message on social media after an exit was confirmed from Man United.
Fernandes has been a central figure for United this season, even as the team struggled under Ruben Amorim and ended the campaign on a low note.
Still, they closed out the final day with a win over Aston Villa, thanks to goals from Amad and Christian Eriksen.
However, the match wasn’t without controversy. Former PGMOL chief Keith Hackett criticised referee Thomas Bramall, insisting Altay Bayindir didn’t have full control of the ball before Morgan Rogers challenged him. Although Rogers found the net, the goal was chalked off as Bramall had already blown for a foul.
Meanwhile, speculation continues to swirl around Fernandes’ own future at the club. Football Insider revealed that Al Hilal are preparing a bid for Fernandes ahead of a summer move.
But despite the uncertainty, the Man United captain turned his attention to a departing teammate, delivering a farewell message that acknowledged the end of their time together at Old Trafford.
Bruno Fernandes bids farewell to Christian Eriksen in final Man United match
Fernandes posted a short but heartfelt message to Eriksen on Instagram, as the midfielder prepares to leave the club this summer.
His story read: “Thanks for everything Danish lad” followed by a raised hands emoji and a heart.

The Dane has made 35 appearances across all competitions this season, registering five goals and five assists. However, he has started only 11 Premier League matches, with ongoing concerns over his physical ability to consistently play from the start.
Football Insider previously reported that Eriksen could return to Ajax, in what would be a sentimental move back to the club where his professional career began.

Bruno Fernandes future uncertain amid Man United financial concerns
With Eriksen on his way out, Man United are already set to lose one of their experienced creative midfielders. Losing Fernandes as well would be a significant blow—but financial pressures may leave the club with little choice.
Football Insider revealed that Fernandes could leave Man United with the Portuguese saying he would understand if the club need to cash in on him.
United’s 15th-placed finish this season means they’ve missed out on European football for the first time in over a decade. That absence is expected to have a major financial impact, and player sales could be inevitable.
Whether Fernandes becomes one of those high-profile departures remains to be seen.
