Bruno Fernandes sends message to Leny Yoro after Man United development

Man United captain Bruno Fernandes is excited to have Leny Yoro back in training with the first team after his latest injust setback.

The 18-year-old picked up a serious ankle injury in Man United’s 2-1 pre-season defeat to Arsenal and has been out of action ever since.

He has since returned to first-team training at United and is set to make his full debut under a new manager, following Erik ten Hag’s departure earlier in the season.

It’s unlikely that interim boss Ruud van Nistelrooy will rush him back for their Europa League game against Greek side PAOK on Thursday (November 7).

Yoro may have to wait until after the international break when new full-time manager Ruben Amorim takes over and the new era begins.

Bruno Fernandes glad to have Leny Yoro back in Man United training

Fernandes, 30, bagged his first Premier League goal of the season from the penalty spot in their 1-1 draw with Chelsea on Sunday (November 3).

With the worst defensive record among the traditional ‘top 6’, Fernandes took to Instagram to express his excitement over the young centre-back’s return.

Van Nistelrooy has done a good job of steadying the ship ahead of Ruben Amorim’s arrival, comprehensively beating Leicester 5-2 in the League Cup and earning a point against Chelsea.

With only three points from their opening three Europa League games, however, more will be expected in their game against PAOK.
