Bruno Fernandes sends message to Toby Collyer after Man United latest
Bruno Fernandes has sent his Man United teammate Toby Collyer a message following their heroic defending during their recent win against Fulham on Sunday (26 January).
The 20-time champions defeated the Londoners 1-0 courtesy of a 78th-minute goal from Lisandro Martinez, but the defensive accomplishment was just as important as the three points.
This marked the first time that United have kept a clean sheet in their last 13 games, with the performance being something of a defensive breakthrough for Ruben Amorim’s men.
The win also allowed United to climb up to 12th in the Premier League table as they now sit four points away from the top half.
United will be back in action in the Premier League on Sunday (2 February) when they face Crystal Palace.
However, prior to that they face FCSB in the Europa League on Thursday (30 January).
Bruno Fernandes sends his Man United teammate a message
The clean sheet was crucial for United on Sunday due to how tight the game was, and youngster Toby Collyer played a crucial role in that.
He provided a stunning late goal-line clearance from Joachim Andersen’s header with just two minutes remaining.
The header had Andre Onana beat and was set to earn Fulham a point until it was stopped, and that led to Fernandes sending him a bicep emoji on Instagram to showcase how impressed he was.

The 21-year-old has emerged as a hot prospect in the United squad under Amorim’s leadership.
According to The Athletic, United have no plans to loan Collyer out at this point as he’s set to remain with the first-team squad moving forward.
