Bruno Guimaraes declares himself a ‘Geordie’ as heartwarming gesture from Newcastle fans revealed
Bruno Guimaraes is one of the most loved players on Tyneside and he has shared one of the ways supporters have demonstrated their adoration for him.
When Alexander Isak dropped his Instagram bombshell on the evening of the PFA awards ceremony, Bruno was celebrated for his post in retaliation.
Since his £40m switch from Lyon to Newcastle United, the 27-year-old has endeared himself to supporters with high-octane midfield performances.
The Brazilian has never hidden his love for his supporters, and he has now shared how fans around the city have made him feel at home in Newcastle.

Bruno Guimaraes shares how Newcastle fans have shown him love
Sky Sports reporter Keith Downie has shared some lovely quotes from Bruno about his love affair with Newcastle supporters.
“When I signed I never thought I’d be able to go into any restaurant in the city and never have to pay the bill!” Bruno exclaimed.
“I never thought this (love affair with the fans) would happen when I signed for the club, it’s been better than I thought it would be.
“When I put the shirt on I try to play like a Geordie. We have been together three-and-a-half years and everything has been amazing. I hope for this to continue…”
Bruno and Mainoo would be a thrilling midfield duo
Kobbie Mainoo has been linked with Newcastle United after Manchester United rejected his loan request in the summer.
While it’s unclear how Eddie Howe would use Mainoo, he would perfectly balance the deficiencies in Guimaraes’ game and vice versa.
Mainoo has the energy and forward-thinking mentality to succeed in Newcastle’s engine room and is also strong off the ball.
The Magpies could yet return in future windows for the 20-year-old but until then, he’s simply one to watch for Newcastle supporters.
