Bryan Mbeumo reacts to Jordan Henderson’s transfer message
Brentford have confirmed their latest signing as speculation continues to grow over the future of Bryan Mbeumo.
A summer of sweeping changes at the Gtech Community Stadium is well underway with Keith Andrews at the helm after the departure of Thomas Frank to Tottenham, and player movements have also begun.
Mark Flekken’s departure to Bayer Leverkusen was followed up by the loss of captain Christian Norgaard to Arsenal, but the Bees have already moved quickly to make up for these exits with several new arrivals.
Mbeumo‘s 20 Premier League goals and a further nine assists will be much harder to replicate with a switch to Manchester United still on the cards, as Brentford do their utmost to keep the Cameroonian.

Brentford announce Jordan Henderson transfer
Although Mbeumo’s future is up in the air as Man United and Brentford struggle to reach an agreement over his £70million price tag, Andrews has wasted no time in strengthening other areas of his squad.
Norgaard’s move to Arsenal left the Bees without a huge swathe of experience in central midfield, but Brentford have already plugged that gap with the signing of England international Jordan Henderson.
Henderson sent a heartfelt goodbye message to Ajax on 14 July after his exit from the Dutch giants was confirmed, and just a day later Brentford have announced the free agent’s arrival on a two-year contract.
Mbeumo was one of several Bees stars to like Brentford‘s announcement on Instagram (15 July), which said: “We are delighted to announce the signing of Jordan Henderson on a two-year contract”.

Football Insider Verdict
The Red Devils may be yet to meet Brentford’s evaluation of Mbeumo this summer, but Football Insider revealed on 11 July that Man United remain confident that a deal for the Cameroon forward will be struck.
Yoane Wissa has also attracted attention from Tottenham and under no circumstances will Brentford let both their star players leave, having taken steps to make up for the imminent loss of 28 goals and assists.
Antoni Milambo has arrived from Feyenoord for £16m alongside fellow attacking midfielders Romelle Donovan and Theo Mawene, but expect the Bees to go big on another wide forward if Mbeumo is to be sold this summer.
