Bryan Mbeumo responds as emotional Brentford exit confirmed
Bryan Mbeumo reacted to an emotional farewell message from Brentford as an exit from the club was confirmed.
Mbeumo enjoyed a standout season at Brentford, netting 20 Premier League goals and helping the side secure a 10th-place finish in one of their strongest league campaigns to date.
However, his remarkable form appears to have come at a cost for the club, with a departure from the club being heavily touted.
Football Insider recently reported that Man United are edging closer to finalising a deal for Mbeumo, despite having an initial bid rejected.
Newcastle had maintained long-standing interest in Mbeumo, but United now look to have taken the lead in the race for his signature.
Now, the Cameroon winger reacted as an exit from the club was confirmed, despite his own future still being under speculation.

Brentford confirm Thomas Frank departure
Despite speculation around his own future, Brentford have now been dealt a significant blow as Brentford have officially announced Thomas Frank will leave for Tottenham, replacing Ange Postecoglou.
The official Brentford Instagram account confirmed the news with a farewell message: “We can confirm that after seven years in charge, Thomas Frank has left Brentford to take up the head coach role at Tottenham Hotspur.
“He will be joined by assistant first-team coach Justin Cochrane, head of first-team performance Chris Haslam and first-team analyst Joe Newton.
“Everyone connected with Brentford would like to thank Thomas for the incredible impact he has had on the club’s history.”
Mbeumo was among the players to react to the emotional post, liking the message alongside Yoane Wissa and former teammate Ivan Toney.
Frank departs West London after an impressive seven-year tenure that included promotion to the Premier League in the 2020/21 season and consistently keeping the club stable in the top flight.
With the Dane joining Spurs, it has been suggested that Tottenham may hijack a deal for Mbeumo with the side looking to add a wide player.
Brentford determined to keep Yoane Wissa amid growing interest

While Frank’s exit and Mbeumo’s likely departure signal change at Brentford, the club are believed to be taking a firmer stance when it comes to Wissa’s future.
He has just one year remaining on his current contract, but Brentford have the option to trigger a one-year extension for Wissa, which they are expected to exercise to ward off interest.
Nottingham Forest saw a £40 million bid rejected for Wissa in January, and while more clubs may test Brentford’s resolve this summer, losing both Frank and Mbeumo could force the Bees to hold on tightly to the Congo international.
As the club enters a new era, much will depend on their ability to manage key exits while continuing to build on recent successes.
