Bukayo Saka issues training update in new Arsenal message
Bukayo Saka posted on to social media to share a training update as he nears a return to Mikel Arteta’s squad following his injury.
Saka has been sidelined since suffering a hamstring injury during Arsenal’s 5-1 demolition of Crystal Palace earlier in the season.
In the wake of multiple injuries to their attacking options, Arsenal supporters urged the club to sign a forward in January. However, no reinforcements were brought in.
Instead, 17-year-old Ethan Nwaneri has stepped up in Saka’s absence, while Raheem Sterling has continued to struggle for form at Arsenal.
Saka’s latest post on social media will be a huge boost for fans, as his return now appears to be imminent.
Mikel Arteta needs Bukayo Saka back and firing
The Englishman took to Instagram to share a collage of training photos, captioning it with an hourglass emoji—suggesting his return may be imminent.

After failing to sign an attacker in January, Arsenal fans have accused Stan Kroenke of “gross negligence” especially after Gabriel Martinelli’s injury, which is set to keep him out for over a month.
Saka’s absence has been a huge blow, forcing the team to rely on academy players and internal solutions to sustain their title challenge.
Arsenal have only themselves to blame for attacking woes
Football Insider Verdict
Arsenal’s failure to sign a forward in January means they have now gone two years without a permanent attacking addition.
The club has been linked with several forwards, including Alexander Isak and Benjamin Sesko. Arsenal even made a move for Ollie Watkins late in the window. However, Aston Villa prioritised selling Jhon Duran instead, who made the move to Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr.
Surprisingly, a winger never seemed to be a priority, despite only Nwaneri and Raheem providing cover in that position.
Saka’s return will provide a huge boost, as Arsenal’s attacking output has dropped significantly in his absence.
However, the Gunners may still have to wait a little longer for his full return, with their focus now shifting to the Premier League. Arteta’s side will face relegation-threatened Leicester on 15 February as they look to bounce back from their Carabao Cup exit to Newcastle.
