Bukayo Saka posts social media update after Arsenal injury scare
Bukayo Saka has posted an update to the Arsenal fans despite being on the receiving end of a horror challenge from Leif Davis during their win over Ipswich.
Arsenal rounded off a perfect week in emphatic fashion, following up their historic victory at the Santiago Bernabeu with a dominant 4-0 triumph at Portman Road.
Leandro Trossard netted a brace, with Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri also getting on the scoresheet to wrap up all three points.
However, one moment in the game sparked concern among supporters. Davis was shown a straight red card after a reckless challenge on Saka that caught the winger on his Achilles, leaving him in visible pain.
Former PGMOL chief Keith Hackett praised referee Chris Kavanagh for sending Davis off, as he claimed that Saka’s safety had clearly been “endangered” by the challenge.
Although Saka managed to continue briefly, he was substituted early in the second half and later spotted on the bench receiving treatment with an ice pack.
Still, the England international eased fears post-match with a short message to supporters, coming after Mikel Arteta confirming his status after the result.
Mikel Arteta confirms Bukayo Saka injury is not ‘serious’
After the win, Saka shared a couple of Instagram stories, one celebrating Easter with the message “Happy Easter”, and another showing the squad’s celebrations accompanied by a heart emoji.

Mikel Arteta provided a positive update in his post-match press conference, confirming that although Saka is “in pain” the injury “doesn’t look anything too serious”.
The Gunners are set to face Crystal Palace on 23 April in midweek Premier League action, before turning their attention to a crucial Champions League tie against Paris Saint-Germain next week. Having their star winger fully fit will be vital heading into that stretch.
Ethan Nwaneri has previously stepped up for Arsenal when Saka was sidelined for three months earlier this season, and the teenage talent may once again be relied upon if there are any setbacks in Saka’s recovery.
Arsenal open talks to sign Victor Gyokeres amid summer rebuild

Domestically, Arsenal have struggled at times in front of goal, but it appears plans are already in motion to address that ahead of the new campaign.
Football Insider revealed Arsenal have opened talks to sign Sporting striker Victor Gyokeres in what would be an early summer transfer.
The club are prioritising the arrival of a top-class number nine to help push them further in their title ambitions. New sporting director Andrea Berta is believed to be moving swiftly, with Gyokeres emerging as a major target after another standout season in Portugal.
