
Burnley and Birmingham make contact over Carlos Corberan deal – sources
West Brom boss Carlos Corberan’s representatives have been in touch with Burnley and Birmingham City about their vacant managerial positions, sources have told Football Insider.
Corberan has been linked with several jobs over the past few months after leading the Baggies to the Championship play-offs.
Sources say the Spaniard is keen to leave West Brom this summer after facing numerous challenges during his time at The Hawthorns.
Birmingham are on the lookout for a new manager after Tony Mowbray recently resigned on health grounds, while Burnley are looking to replace Vincent Kompany after he was named the new Bayern Munich boss.
Corberan is under contract with Albion until 2027 after agreeing a contract extension last year.

The 41-year-old enjoyed a strong first full season in charge at West Brom after guiding the club to a fifth-place finish in the Championship.
The Baggies crashed out of the play-offs in the semi-finals after suffering a 3-1 defeat to eventual winners Southampton.
The Spanish boss holds a 39.1 per cent win rate as a manager following previous spells at Huddersfield Town, Olympiacos and Cypriot clubs Doxa and Ermis.
Corberan’s work at West Brom has caught the eye of their West Midlands rivals Birmingham and recently-relegated Burnley.
A host of managers have been linked with the Birmingham job since Mowbray stepped down, with Football Insider revealed on 27 May the League One side have interviewed Alex Neil about taking over at St Andrew’s next season.

Burnley are also pondering a move for Corberan after Kompany joined Bayern following the club’s relegation to the Championship.
Football Insider revealed on 28 May that Clarets chiefs are currently at odds over who to appoint as the Belgian’s successor.
Former Everton CEO Keith Wyness told Football Insider that Corberan could be the right man to take over at Turf Moor and help the club secure a return to the Premier League.
