Burnley co- owner JJ Watt makes ‘inspirational’ gesture
Burnley co-owner and former American football star JJ Watt donated £5000 to a Hull City fan’s charity fundraiser.
Hull City supporter ‘Thehullboy1‘ has been tirelessly fundraising for mental health charities for a while and is now focussing on his latest challenge – running a marathon.
With a target of just £5000 Watt’s generous offer has helped the social media personality’s grand total reach just over £14,000.
It wasn’t until after that he was able to work out that ‘Justin Watt’ was indeed the very same man that co-owns Burnley with his wife and former NWSL star Kealia.

The American firm ALK Capital, through its various subsidiaries, owns 84 per cent of Burnley while the other 16 per cent is owned by individual shareholders like Watt.
The couple came into the fold in May 2023 and have since seen their side promoted to and then relegated from the Premier League.
New manager Scott Parker was brought in to replace Vincent Kompany and has gotten the Lancashire side off to a decent start in the Championship.

After two big wins in their opening games against Luton Town and Cardiff City, 4-1 and 5-0 respectively, Parker’s side struggled against Sunderland and Blackburn.
With the third-biggest squad in the league, however, Parker won’t be short of options as he aims to guide his new side back to the Premier League.
