Sources: Burnley line up move for Middlesbrough man Kieran Scott
Burnley want to make Middlesbrough football chief Kieran Scott their new director of football, Football Insider understands.
The Premier League club are planning a complete restructure of their football department following Sean Dyche’s surprise sacking last week.
A Burnley source has told Football Insider that they want to appoint a new technical director and they are lining up a move for Scott.

Former Norwich City head of recruitment Scott is highly regarded in football circles and has previously worked at Burnley as a scout.
The Clarets have been without a technical director since the departure of Mike Rigg last August.
Rigg, who led the Burnley academy from Category Three to Category One status, held the position for nearly three years.
ALK Capital’s desire to now bring Scott into the setup is the latest in a number of sweeping changes since their takeover in December 2020.
Scott has a broad brief at Boro, overseeing recruitment and retention, academy development, the loan system, and liaising with CEO Neil Bausor.
Burnley are currently under the supervision of under-23s manager Michael Jackson.
Club captain Ben Mee, academy chief Paul Jenkins and under-23 goalkeeper coach Connor King also make up the interim team.
Burnley trail 17th-place Everton by three points as the fight for Premier League survival enters the home straight.

The Toffees have played one game less than their East Lancashire rivals but arguably face a tougher run-in.
The Clarets drew 1-1 at West Ham last Sunday (17 April) and are next in action against Southampton at Turf Moor on Thursday (21 April)
