Burnley to submit new Flemming bid – sources
Burnley are preparing a new bid for Millwall star Zian Flemming, sources have told Football Insider.
Football Insider revealed on Tuesday (27 June) that the Clarets have already seen two bids for the 24-year-old rejected by the Championship club.
Flemming is a top summer target for Burnley after his outstanding debut Championship campaign with Millwall last term.
A well-placed source has told Football Insider that it won’t take a “massive” fee for Vincent Kompany to land his man – but the London outfit are nonetheless holding out for a handsome profit.
Flemming only joined Millwall from Dutch side Fortuna Sittard last summer (2022).
He hit the ground running in a Lions shirt and went on to notch 15 goals and three assists as Gary Rowett’s side narrowly missed out on a playoff berth.
Kompany is a big admirer of Flemming and sees him as someone who could make the step up to the Premier League with his Burnley side.
Flemming, who cost Millwall a reported club-record £1.7million fee, has already racked up 64 club career goals despite being just 24.
Burnley have already made three permanent signings this summer as they prepare to return to the Premier League.
Jordan Beyer, Dara O’Shea and Michael Obafemi have all signed for the Clarets.

Football Insider revealed on Tuesday (27 June) that Southampton have told the Lancashire outfit that a bid of £15million will land Nathan Tella after his successful loan at the club last season.
Meanwhile, sources also told Football Insider (27 June) that Burnley and Leeds United are set to go head-to-head for the signing of Queens Park Rangers ace Sam Field.
In other news, Burnley open talks to sign Man City star.
