Pedro Caixinha swipes at Neil Lennon for antics in Rangers loss v Hibernian
By Danny Wright
Pedro Caixinha has aimed a swipe at Neil Lennon for the way he celebrated in front of the Ibrox crowd in Rangers’ 3-2 loss to Hibernian on Saturday.
The Hibs bosses touchline antics didn’t go unnoticed by Caixinha, who was left less than impressed after the Celtic icon appeared to goad the home crowd after Simon Murray’s equaliser in the first-half.
Caixinha was also left fuming by the referee’s performance in the loss, as he dished out six yellow cards to the Gers contingent while Ryan Jack was shown a straight red card in the 36th minute.
“The referee gave nothing. When I’m wrong in my decisions I take responsibility,” said Caixinha, as quoted by the Daily Record.
“But for the good of football I’d invite the referee to look at the video and analyse whether he took good decisions or not.

“Also when I celebrate I do it with my own fans. I didn’t celebrate our goal any differently.
“I spoke to my players about emotional balance. But in minute five when a player from my team receives aggression like that and nothing happens, that means we can also do it.”
Alfredo Morelos opened the scoring for the Light Blues in the third minute, but after Murray’s leveller and Jack’s red card, it all went downhill quickly for the Glaswegians.
James Tavernier scored an own goal just before the break and Vykintas Slivka doubled Hibernian’s lead before Tavernier found the net at the right end of the pitch in the final 10 minutes.
Hibernian boosted themselves up to the third in the table thanks to their second Premiership win in a row while the Light Blues dropped down to sixth after they failed to string together a third straight win after beating Motherwell and Dunfermline in the past week.
