'I know there's clubs looking...' - Exclusive: Pundit touts Spurs star quitting, makes 'tomorrow' ref

Harry Kane will evaluate his career at the end of this season and consider whether the time is right to quit Tottenham as clubs look closely at signing him “tomorrow”.

That is according to the well-connected former Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the future of one of the hottest properties in world football.

Campbell, whose own son Tyrese is establishing a big reputation as a goalscoring forward at Stoke City, believes Kane will think long and hard about his future if Spurs don’t end their trophy drought.

The England captain is viewed by Tottenham as a potential £200million asset as a result of his extraordinary exploits for club and country.

But he turns 28 next summer and Campbell believes that milestone could open up a crossroads in his career.

“I think Harry Kane will be tempted to leave, he told Football Insider. “When you’re getting to 27, 28 you’re supposed to be in your peak years.

“At Spurs they’ve had good teams, been in the Champions League, got to the Champions League final and lost, finished high up in the league but haven’t got over the line and won trophies.

“Trophies are everything because at the end of the day if you’re a good player, you’re a
good player but what have you got to show for your career? That’s what it boils down to at the top level.

“Harry Kane has got nothing to show for it right now, he’s going to want to win silverware, he’s going to want that feeling of success.

“Obviously he wants it to be at Spurs but if Spurs don’t get over the line with a trophy this season then he’ll re-evaluate where he is and where he goes.

“I know there’s clubs looking at Harry Kane thinking ‘we’d have him tomorrow’, it’s just a matter of Harry Kane going ‘thanks Spurs, but I want to look at a new challenge’.”

Kane has had a sensational start to the new season for Spurs and is one of the biggest reasons his club are being tipped for a shock title challenge.

The England captain has scored 13 goals and supplied 10 assists in his 14 matches in all competitions.

In other news, it can be revealed how Tottenham have made a huge saving on blockbuster new deal thanks to insider information.
