Campbell hails Postecoglou after ‘very frank’ Celtic board talks revealed pre-January
Celtic have “a fair bit of money to spend” in the January transfer window.
That is the view of ex-Premier League striker Kevin Campbell, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the “frank chat” Ange Postecoglou, 56, had with the board over the international break.
The Hoops boss told the BBC (October 15th) he’s “really confident” of landing his January targets after discussions with the board.

Postecoglou has already mapped out his recruitment team’s plan to explore the international market when the transfer window re-opens.
Celtic made 12 signings in the summer but still made a profit thanks to the sizeable transfer fees secured from the sales of Kristoffer Ajer and Odsonne Edouard.
When asked by Football Insider for his assessment of Postecoglou’s comments, Campbell said: “It sounds like there’s money to spend.
“I’m sure the shortlist of would be targets has been drawn up.
“It sounds like it was a very frank chat between Postecoglou and the board. I imagine he said, ‘For us to get going, this is who I need.’
“The board have to back him. They’re in the midst of a re-build.
“Fair play to Postecoglou because he recognises he needs a bit of help. He needs a couple more top-quality players to make them compete again.”

Speaking to the BBC, Postecoglou said: “If I keep getting that support, I’m really confident we will bring in the right kind of players in January that we will need to bolster the squad.
“Then we will have a good foundation for what’s ahead.”
